THE Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) is ensuring the provision of adequate and quality affordable housing in the country, which is one of the six focuses of the Livable Malaysia agenda.

Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican (picture) said KPKT’s mission is to provide 500,000 housing units under the 12th Malaysia Plan.

“This is not a small amount, so we need a strategy to ensure the mission is achieved,” he said during the ministry’s New Year Mandate Ceremony 2022 and the launch of the Local Authority Empowerment Framework (RKPPBT) in Putrajaya last Friday.
